I needed a thorough overhaul of my outdated kitchen to match an adjoining utility room. Paul found comparable units and produced a plan making the most of the available space and yet contriving to make the room appear more spacious. He was willing to incorporate my ideas but made suggestions where he could identify improvements. He kept me up to date with every stage of the process.
He carried out the carpentry efficiently and employed tried and tested plumbers, electricians and plasterers, which lent a friendly aspect to the installation. Paul was professional in his dealings with everyone and made every attempt to keep the job on schedule and on budget. He identified areas where I could save money, a task for which I was very grateful.
I now have a beautiful kitchen and would recommend Paul without reservation.

Paul Marshall was Project Manager for a significant renovation to my property in 2013. This involved a complete renovation (including demolition and removal) of the kitchen, hallway, downstairs toilet and large upstairs bathroom. He also managed works to the exterior of the property, including a new garden gate, new store for waste bins, fencing, and new window panels. This work included drainage, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, tiling, painting and decorating.
Paul is a skilled Project Manager as well as being an inspired carpenter in terms of vision and design. He is also very good with people, charming, kind and polite, in addition to being a true professional in terms of honesty and punctuality. He works with a team of people who have obviously worked together on many projects, and who trust each other. They all work to the same very high standard. As a result, I was completely happy to leave Paul in charge of the house for the duration of the works. I was kept informed at every stage of the works, consulted whenever required, and everything was handled in a professional and timely manner. It was no trouble to have members of the team around in all the different stages of their work.
Having experienced such professional management, I asked Paul to return this year to renovate my study, including building a functional but very beautiful storage shelf, oak worktops, painting and decorating.
As a result, I now have a beautifully renovated, modern house, completed to a very high specification. I would recommend Paul and his team without reservation, and will have no hesitation in asking them to return when I need them.

I have employed Paul for many years. He came highly recommended and I was impressed from the start by the attention to detail and experience he demonstrated when taking comprehensive notes of my requirements.
Since then, Paul has carried out a number of major and minor refurbishments in my house and garden and is now the only builder I go to! He plans all his jobs meticulously, is courteous, friendly and totally reliable, while charging very reasonable prices. Paul takes great pride in his work which he completes to a very high standard and he goes to great lengths to solve problems however small.
His timekeeping is excellent and I know I can rely on him to arrive on time and complete the job within the pre-arranged timescale. If jobs require other building specialities he coordinates the contributions of a select group of specialists who share his work ethic – and are also very useful to know.
Paul and his colleagues refitted my kitchen, utility room and downstairs cloakroom. These were large and potentially disruptive projects but he planned his work to keep the inconvenience to a minimum and always kept me fully informed about progress and any changes to plan. The finish on all projects was excellent and the rooms are a pleasure to use.
Paul is also a fine carpenter and has constructed an elegant wardrobe for me and converted a third bedroom into a library/office. His design advice is always invaluable and this ensures that I get maximum use out of any refit.
Paul has also used his carpentry skills to improve my garden by replacing fences and garden gates and building a combination storage shed and log store. He suggested making a feature of this building and designed it in a form similar to a Swiss chalet. The contrasting paint colours and exposed piles of cut logs have made the building not only a versatile storage area but also a stylish addition to my garden which has attracted many appreciative comments from visitors. In summary, I recommend Paul unreservedly and would be happy to speak personally to anyone who was considering employing him.
